Are you a STAR?

Someone That Anyone Recognizes. Don’t hesitate to allow your talents to shine through. Are you easily recognized for your efforts and abilities within your organization?

If you are a STAR, then everyone knows your capabilities and will use them. Otherwise, you will just be tasked out with random things that are not in sync with your ability and capability. Work to your strengths and make yourself recognizable within your organization, make yourself a STAR.

There is nothing wrong with standing out in a particular area. Sure, every time that one or few things you are a STAR at needs to be done, everyone will come to you to get it done, but there is nothing wrong with being specialized in something.Let it be known that you are good at something and you will be a valuable asset to your team or organization. Be a STAR.

“You should aspire to get better all the time”

If you want to make a big impact on something you should start small and work you way up by getting better all the time.

Taking small steps along the way will allow for you to make huge strides over time.  As long as you focus with the end result in mind and make improvements all the time you can build future success in small doses.

The thing to keep in mind is that you are not going to immediately get the results you want.  If you want to make a difference you have to work at it.  This makes discipline and the determination to go the distance regardless of circumstances, situation, or obstacles along the way paramount to your success.

As you are on your journey make small, realistic goals and as you achieve them, make sure you reward yourself.  But, whatever you do don’t quit, give up, or slack off because of progress.  You should remain vigilant and ready at all times.

If you do this, you will soon find that you are better off than you were before by making continuous, physical, conscious efforts that will lead to the results you set out to achieve.

POTENTIAL – Leaders look for what something/someone can become, instead of what something/someone is.

We all have POTENTIAL to be greater than we are.  Through dedication, discipline, and hard work we can reach our POTENTIAL if we are willing to sacrifice what it takes to reach it.

Sadly, most people find a “comfort zone” and never reach their full POTENTIAL.  If we are to grow and develop, we must do things outside of our “comfort zone”.

Join the conversation.  What are you doing to reach your POTENTIAL or helping someone else reach theirs?
