We all grew up with the saying that “a dog is man’s best friend”, would you agree?  I have had a few dogs in my day and I can say that every one of them provided me with unique unconditional companionship that will never be replaced or emulated again by any other dog or person in the world.

Do you have a best friend that you can truly count on to be there for you when you need them the most and that will be devoted to you in your time of need and give to you unconditionally and not ask for much in return.  A friend like that is hard to find nowadays.  I have found it strikingly odd that in the best of times our friend are always there for us laughing, smiling, and carrying on with us but the moment that the chips are down and we really need them that all of a sudden they are nowhere to be found, always have something else going on, or are completely unwilling to help  you out.   Have you ever had that happen to you.

If you are considered someone’s best friend then go all the way or don’t “fake the funk” by being their best friend one minute and then turn your back on them the next because it is an inconvenience for you.  Whether you want to believe it or not, one day you may actually need their help too and what do you think they are going to do.  Well, I’m not sure what will happen depending on the relationship you have with that person but it will go either one of two ways.  They will either help you or turn their back on you just the same as you did.  So my advice to you is choose your friends wisely, but never let them down.  You must always be willing to give unconditionally even when it’s all on the line.

Are you a STAR?

Someone That Anyone Recognizes. Don’t hesitate to allow your talents to shine through. Are you easily recognized for your efforts and abilities within your organization?

If you are a STAR, then everyone knows your capabilities and will use them. Otherwise, you will just be tasked out with random things that are not in sync with your ability and capability. Work to your strengths and make yourself recognizable within your organization, make yourself a STAR.

There is nothing wrong with standing out in a particular area. Sure, every time that one or few things you are a STAR at needs to be done, everyone will come to you to get it done, but there is nothing wrong with being specialized in something.Let it be known that you are good at something and you will be a valuable asset to your team or organization. Be a STAR.
