“The 5 RIGHTS”

Posted: April 18, 2011 in Uncategorized

Adhere to “The 5 RIGHTS” and you will never be wrong ! ! !

1. RIGHT PLACE: Be where the action is.  It’s all about location.  If you want to feel like you belong, then get out and be seen or if you have an obligation to be somewhere, be there.

2. RIGHT TIME:  Be on time, every time. Punctuality is a display of your discipline.

3. RIGHT UNIFORM: Dress for success. It makes that first impression a lasting impression.

4. RIGHT INFORMATION: Knowledge builds competence, which builds confidence, which gives you unlimited power. Nobody likes to hear the phrase “oh, I didn’t know”.

5. RIGHT ATTITUDE:  Attitude is something that nobody can take away from you. Having the right attitude is something you control.  It’s your choice whether to have a positive or negative attitude toward anything.

Follow these simple rules for individual, team, and organizational success.

And don’t just be able to recite the NCO Creed, live it! Well said Terry….The 5 “R”‘s.

Thank you for your reply. It all starts with building a basic foundation and the discipline to continue following through with actions instead of words. When leaders stray from or bend the simplest of rules such as “The 5 Rights” it becomes difficult to listen to their words no matter how inspirational they may be. Take care.
